The CircAid® SilhouettesTM are low-cost, light-weight, soft foam undersleeves contoured to each limb. The SilhouetteTM conforms to the principles of bandaging by using non-aggressive flat foam to help facilitate lymph flow.
The undersleeves now also incorporate stitching lines that follow the standard treatment directed pressure path for lymphedema. The seams, resembling a ‘chevron’ design, rise as they cross the limb diagonally, ending laterally at a higher proximal point. This improvement, along with the use of non-aggressive flat foam, follows accepted protocols in the treatment of lymphedema.
Lower Leg and Thigh-High Silhouette undersleeves are now manufactured for the left and right limb due to this important change. In addition, the Thigh-High Silhouette has incorporated a 2.5" / 6.35cm lateral rise for bandage-related purposes.
The SilhouetteTM combines affordability with ease of application.
Therapists are using the SilhouetteTM during the intensive phase of lymphedema therapy as a treatment tool and have been introducing it to patients during self bandaging instruction as a means to faster and more consistent bandage application. Patients can quickly learn to self bandage using fewer supplies and less time.
The SilhouetteTM streamlines both lymphedema treatment and post lymphedema treatment self care.
Each product comes with a sock and instructions for use. Standard and custom sizes are available.
